We can hug an giggle while we take walks on the beach,
We can laugh when I get lost in the rain and new clothes,
We can sit in the back of the bookstore in our literature niche,
We can wear funny hats and assume a ridiculous pose.

But don't you think that in the silence in between it all,
We should try to figure out what happens next?
Cause no matter how much I love you, I'm leaving this fall,
And this entire relationship has to fall into a year of text.
