Flipping through pages of my past
Remembering everything worth forgetting
Like the lady with the mullet
Or the one with too many cats
The one who didn't have her ears pierced
But still wore ornaments every day
What about the one with the fish sweater
Or the one I've known for nine years
They all made me grow up
While everyone else put me down
With false promises of friendship
And empty lies of love
While they ostracized and ignored
And taught me how to be reserved
I wouldn't give up these memories
Nor would I ever wish to relive them
They made me who I amĀ
And I can only say now,
That I wouldn't change anything
Maybe one day I'll be nostalgicĀ
But for now, I'm keeping them buried
