Piracy of Innocence

A hazy dream,
Like I was underwater,
I couldn't breath,
I lashed out as they captured me,
The best of me,

They played pirates,
And stole my innocence,
I had fallen victim,
Unknowingly exposed and alone in a sailboat of my own,
My captain abandoned ship against my protest,

The pirates invaded,
stealing all that I had,
They stripped me of everything,
My youth as their weapon,
As they set me to walk the plank,

Edging me on,
Pushing me in,
The water swallowed me,
They held me under,
Blinding me,

Silencing my screams,
Laughing as I drowned,
They smiled at what they stole,
And without regret they finished me,
Tossing me overboard,

I swam in their currents,
In the denial,
The cold hard truth,
Buried beneath the ocean floor,
I swam alone,

A small child thrown into the deep end,
Struggling to stay afloat,
For my captain I only hold resentment,
Yet not dare say a word of what happened on that boat,
Forever carrying this anchor hung tight around my throat.

I know this is weird for a poem because it doesn't have any rhythm, but tell me what you think.
