Children of the Ghetto

Children of the ghetto
tryna find their ways from home.
Kill them with the hardship.
It’s why they feel so alone.
There’s no place like home,
they’ve never been somewhere so cold.

Shadows of their mother’s arms
limp around their shoulders.
Never seen them cry so hard
what lies have they told them?

Children of the ghetto
live lives so hard.
The sky’s too black to see the stars
So they’re reaching through the bars.
The streets have faded gray,
look closely and they’re white.
There’ll be a splash of red,
the ending of a fight.
Children of the ghetto.
