To The Pack

It is now, today,
that I find myself breaking away.
Breaking away from the pack,
Knowing I'll never look back.
I'm tired of monotony,
of bland colors.
I wanna see the world
with clarity
and visibility.
I'm no longer one of you-
I've traded sides
and I don't care who knows!
Don't try to hold me back-
I'm breaking from the pack!
Understand this-
This awkward puzzle piece
found her fit.
I no longer
need stand outside your circle,
nor need I to hunt for a place to be alone.
I have found people who love me,
a band of semming misfits
who make their own picture,
a puzzle fitted
with only the most puzzling shapes.
I no longer
need to attempt conformity
to please you.
I've left the pack.
