You Brought It on Yourself

You say that I'm so bad,
As if you're a saint,
Talking about my problems,
As if you're disgraced,
What have I ever done,
To make you feel this way?
Because the way I see it,
You're the one to blame.

You think you're better than me?
I find that hard to believe,
You just keep judging me,
And watch me take my leave,
I won't be treated this way,
With all your thoughtless hate,
You need to concentrate,
And finally take the blame.

The world isn't out to get you,
And nobody's plotting against you,
Why can't you open your mind and let it through?
I'm leaving and I won't be back soon,
Just face your demons,
Contemplate the reasons,
You're all alone now,
And figure out how you brought it on yourself.

You used to be carefree,
But now it's easy to tell,
You made your way,
To your own personal hell,
And I wish I could help,
Wish you would take my hand,
But you just push me away,
I'll never understand.

The world isn't out to get you,
And nobody's plotting against you,
Why can't you open your mind and let it through?
I'm leaving and I won't be back soon,
Just face your demons,
Contemplate the reasons,
You're all alone now,
And figure out how you brought it on yourself.

One day you'll come out of it,
You'll realize how unjust you've been,
One day you'll throw that all away,
But that day just isn't today.

The world isn't out to get you,
And nobody's plotting against you,
Why can't you open your mind and let it through?
I'm leaving and I won't be back soon,
Just face your demons,
Contemplate the reasons,
You're all alone now,
And figure out how you brought it on yourself.

The world isn't out to get you,
And nobody's plotting against you,
Why can't you open your mind and let it through?
I'm leaving and I won't be back soon,
Just face your demons,
Contemplate the reasons,
You're all alone now,
And figure out how you brought it on yourself.

It isn't about anybody in particular, but I've felt this way before and it kind of stormed my brain at a random moment. I tried to write this without being as deep and self-symbolic as I normally get, and I think it worked out nicely.
