The Unknown

It’s difficult to say, where it all went wrong.
Torn, flipped upside down,
No longer safe and sound.
Running so fast,
It’s a hard fall on the way down.
Face first towards the ground,
Is anyone around?
I don’t want to believe,
That a song is made for the lonely,
But the lyrics keep telling me,
That you don’t have to be alone,
To be lonely.
Is it really, just me, myself and I?
It’s difficult to say, when things will go right.
Repaired, flipped right-side up,
No longer broken and beat down,
Running so fast,
It’s going to be hard to stop.
Facing the world, not the ground,
People tagging along,
I want to believe,
That a life isn’t quick sand,
But the dust keeps telling me,
That it’s just the beginning,
Of a long story.
Until then,
Fear will fear,
the unknown.
