Fae

With their glittering wings of greens and golds,
their giant onyx eyes

They lurk in the forest, the respiring cold
and weave their patchwork lies

Their hair is grass, their skin is bark
their tears flow like the sea

They glow like moons when it is dark
they haunt the hollow tree

Through glamoured tails and druidic prose
they gambol on their way

The stars at night their ancient woes
the serenades their prey
