Be Cautious

Psychosis takes time
Dazed and confused
Tricks of the mind
Can easily contribute
I try and try
And never succeed
Now that I realize no one would ever take heed
Take heed of my thoughts, my warnings, and lore
That is, before you are no more
Be quick to decipher pain from enthusiasm
And be sure to avoid all sorts of phantasms
Mythical monsters can never be tamed
Along with dozens of creatures that remain unnamed
Be careful when you walk the streets at night
Just make sure you avoid their bite
Along with something deadly, something majestic lives
Be careful of what your mind can give
Your mind, or mine?
I could never decipher
So watch out for the scythes
Darkness and all
And watch out for the dark ones,
The tragic ones, and the meek
And pray to god you'll see next week...
