Lucky Charm

Don’t mind me as I lose myself,
The feeling is lost,
The heart put up on a shelf,
Taken…
My heart was breakin,
Nothing could bring my love back,
He sacrificed himself in the attack,
I watched him bound in front of me,
The gun man looked down no remorse,
I was caught cold trembling,
It took over me like a force,

Her eyes went blank,
Her heart had sank,
I heard her scream,
It felt like a dream,
She fell to the floor where I was lying,
Her eyes full of tears she was crying,
I took the chest full of led,
Because without this beautiful girl I would have been dead,
She was the reason why I was put here,
I could feel her fear,
She held me as if I were to break,
I smiled for more my sake,
I gripped her arm,
Reassured her it was all gonna be alright,
Because she was my lucky charm,
I told her there was no need for alarm,
Our love would live forever,
This wouldn’t be the last time…
Because I made a promise to her that I was all hers and she was mine,
I may have staggered,
Feeling the bullets like daggers,
But with all my strength I held her so close,
The words ‘I love you’ arose,
A faint smile came over me,
Her tears had stopped,
She was the key,
She had made me realize what I had done,
I’d give my life for hers,
I would never run,

Flashing lights came in and took the boy away,
The girl was shouting “IS HE OK???!”
The boy looked around,
Looking to see if she was alright,
He muttered her name,
As the ambulance took flight,
He felt a grip on his hand,
And heard her voice,
He closed his eyes peacefully and slept uttering only one more noise,
“I’m so glad that you’re outta of the harm”
She laughed softly and replied
“I knew we would be because you’re my lucky charm”
