I'll Be There

And so I want you to know,
that I don’t know what the future holds.
my eyes are not glazed over,
blinded by the truth of the time we’ve yet to know,
and that I’m unpredictable.
I swear,
and sometimes I smoke when I'm sad
(even though it gives me a headache)
and my brain wasn’t wired right,
but I love you.
I do, that’s the truth.
So I will keep you bound in these words,
and every time I turn the page,
I promise it’ll feel like our fingers are intertwined,
and I hope that the sensation finds you,
wherever you may be.
