The A'la Literation of Love

Its twelve a.m and you’re in my head
and you’re in my bed; sleeping like a baby
you open your eyes and you look into mine
as a smile lightens your face
you play with my hair, and touch me with grace
yeah these were the moments I cherished most
yeah these were the days I’d never give up for the world

you were my sunshine on a gray day
my life saver when I was lost at sea
you’re the metaphor of love
the alliteration of
la-la-la, la-la love, love, love

The day drags on, oh it’s taking too long
I just want to see you, hold your hand
and the words you said, they burn in my head
because they spoke a sin, you cannot see me again
and even though the words weren’t lying, I feel like crying
because you were the one I cherished most
and I promised, no matter how long, I’d wait for you

Because you were my sunshine on a rainy day
my defibrillator when my heart went astray
you’re the adrenaline in my veins
the only one who can turn me insane
because you come and you go like an alliteration
you’re the heart I wear on my sleeve
a metaphor of
love, love, love

It’s three a.m and you’re in my head
Taken over my pen as these pages fill with memories
Words cannot truly speak how the heart feels
They just form a picture, so easily erased and never revealed
And God only knows who you really are...

Now you’re the gray cloud on my sunny day
The bad news on my hopeful sun ray
You’re the pain I never want to see
The repetition of heartbreak in a sad story
You call my name from black rain clouds
But to that addiction I won’t give in
For you took over my body and my brain
The only one who could turn me insane
Just an alliteration
Repeating rapidly receding
You were the metaphor of
Love
Love
Love
