Sirens.

Such a loud ringing
In such a small place
Run underground
We need to be safe
Children are screaming
Adults are scared
Close your eyes, remember
You must always be prepared.
When it is over
You walk out and see
Nothing but darkness
And complete travesty.
Fall to your knees
A lump in your throat
There’s nowhere to run
There’s nowhere to go.
Bodies are everywhere
Blood in a puddle
How did we get here?
We’re in such a muddle.
When will it stop?
Oh, wait, that’s a never.
If we go down,
We go down together.
