After Death

Spirits rush around the lake
And I pray the Lord my life to take.
Oh Lord, take my empty soul!
I'll see you at my funeral.
But will I see you in the sky?
What happens after I die?
I like to think I'll float above,
To take part in eternal love,
But dreams don't come true every time
And nothing is ever divine
So there's a chance I'll fall below
But it's the slimmest chance I know.
Nonetheless, there's still a chance,
But with every single passing glance
Your eyes are outlined in the stars,
They seize my soul even from afar.
The seizing of my soul is saying
That with even just a little praying,
I am bound to see You when
I breathe my final breath in.
