Yesterday--Literary Poem

Yesterday I was warm.
I was always safe and always there.
The sun felt hot on my skin.
The scent of fresh cut grass surrounded me.
Breathing it in was natural.
Just like smiling was.
Yesterday we were always together.
Sharing secrets, laughs, smiles.
My eyes are open now.
Yesterday we were young.
Life was good and we were free.
Playing all night.
Laughing all day.
Until the sun set far in the west.
It was yesterday.
My life, my dreams, my hopes.
Yesterday.
I need tomorrow.
