If My Life Were a Book.

If my life were a book..
it would be long and dreary..
People would beg just to see what happened to little old me.

If my life were a poem
it would be short and depressing..
Bringing tears to the readers eyes
and pain to their hearts.

If my life we're a song..
It would be slow and sad.
People would listen
people might care.
but only the special few
would feel the sorrow behind the beat and the words.

If my life were a knot..
it would be a noose..
so I could get away from everything
and finally let loose.
