Cascading Darkness

A hole so deep you can never escape
Only a pinprick of light with a distant glow
There are hands everywhere
grabbing me, pulling me into the murkiness
Stuck in the depths, I cannot see
what is holding me hostage.
I thrash, my hands scraping the edges of the hole
But there is nothing to grip, and no way out.
No. Way. Out.
The thought hits me and I thrash harder
But the darkness immobilizes me
and after fighting for eternity
I succumb to the inky deep,
and submerge into oblivion.
