Life Rant

There are many sad things in this world,
the saddest of them all are just these words,
it might have been.

if you never take a chance in life,
you will spend the rest of it wondering,
what could have been?

at the risk of a broken heart,
you take a chance

and in the end,
no matter what happens,
you will be glad you did.

we don't know what will happen to us in life,
we can't control life,
or when life happens.

the only thing we can control,
is how we decide,
how we react,
how we perceive

in the end,
that's all that really counts

when we are old and look back on our life,
we won't remember days,
we will remember moments

moments that hurt,
moments of happiness,
and moments of craziness that we will never regret

we will look back and smile,
because we will know in our hearts,
that was a life well lived.

we all have regrets,
the only thing to do is forgive yourself,
forgive others,
and move on.

no one can change who they are,
only who they will be.
