Moon Faced

A man in black, a suit of armor
live to serve, die in service.
Straighten the tie and swallow the fear,
the doubt is not wanted here.

A strength, a lion, a rock that crushed everything,
the moon crushed everything.
In carnage, in rubble, and there was the earth,
beneath the sun, beneath the moon,
and there was a man,
in black, in armor,
taken.

Crawled underneath the rock, but a crab with no legs
to reach out and grab the man.
Reach out and grab the moon,
toss it away,
in orbit again
the moon in space.

A cracked rib, crushed bones, a broken arm
the man is dying again.
The man is not saved, away again
the moon crushed the man
on his way to work
and the people
could not
save him.
