Forget

As time fades away
The wrinkles of time show on her pale face
And with silver in her hair
Staring from her window
She raises a cold hand to her face
She recalls the field with the flowers
Where she met him,
The angel
The angel with the sad face
The one who would watch her,
But never come very near
How she had longed to hear his voice
Was it as magical as his golden gaze?

The years seemed like days
But still he pulled away
The demon within,
Laughing at his pain,
His suffering
But still he refuses to leave
Even if she is old and gray
With the signs of time etched into her beautiful face,
As he stays the same
The soulless immortal
Who has no heart,
Not supposed to feel,
But yet, he cannot explain
Something so strange

A crowd dressed in the color of death
Stood around her coffin,
Around it, snow fell in white sheets
While the rain danced in the air
What has come to pass?
After the prayer were said,
And the tears shed
They left, the mourners of the dead
Only then would he appear
To wee for the only thing that ever shone
Brighter than his grey

A young woman stood off in the distance,
The snow coating her light hair,
So unlike her grandmother’s red,
She wept for the woman who had raised her
For her mother had died years ago
And through her tears,
She saw a beautiful man,
He stood by her grandmothers freshly dug grave,
Weeping with no tears
So captivated by his ethereal presence
She started over,
To ask his name
But soon after she started,
She stopped dead in her tracks,
As his golden gaze met her face
