Breathing

There's a pain in my chest
and I breathe
trying to relieve it,
but it grows,
stretching it's dark roots into my veins.
I can feel it.
Sucking all the light from my eyes
and I try, man do I try
to just stop. And breathe.
It's a cancer stemmed from your words.
Your words that cut like a knife in my spine.
Screaming, crying, breathing, hurting.
And you sit there and watch...

Friends are foes with masks on,
but you were worst,
because you took that weak heart of mine
and filled it to the brim with what?
hope? happiness?willingness?care?
No, Love.
That four lettered word.
Just love,pushing my heart,
to expansion.
And I smiled.

But you took that knife and ripped it open.

Now? Now I'm just breathing
counting 1..2..3..
