Pure Love

Ivory tresses cascading down,
Muscle of sturdy power,
Copper red,
Binding its way over alabaster.

Dark orbs,
Staring at one goal,
Two pounding hearts,
Longing for a connection.

Thundering hooves,
Rushing wind,
A freedom only we know,
A life only we can dream.

Agony and disappointment,
Bliss and excitement,
Loss and fear,
Oh, our partner feels these more strongly than we do.

Tears woven into braids,
Blood blended into dusty gloves,
Smiles to each a different person,
Together we all stand.

White knuckles,
Heavy breathing,
Trying to remember,
Repetition in our minds.

Bravery,
Power,
Strength,
Pure bliss.

A blanket of ruby roses,
Placed over us,
A proud grin on my face,
Your ears forward,
We did this together.

Cerulean,
Scarlet,
And honey rosettes,
Placed on your stall door,
In showing how wonderful you did.

Two separate beings,
Two separate hearts,
One combined soul,
One amazing team.
