I Am Alice

I am Alice.
I have been to Wonderland and back, many a time.
I have followed the white rabbit down the rabbit hole,
Gotten lost inside,
And crashed on my way out.

I am Alice.
I have consumed the mysterious splendors of Wonderland
That change you so.

I am Alice.
I have had many tea parties
With people as mad as I,
And much enjoyed their company.

I am Alice.
I have been entranced, lulled, and deceived by the Cheshire Cat,
And his wicked, beguiling smile.

I am Alice.
I have come to the Queen of Hearts,
And she nearly offed my head.

I am Alice.
I have lost myself in this seductive and mysterious world.
I have tried to run when I realized
That Wonderland is not a secure place.
But all the seductive things of Wonderland kept pulling me back.

I am Alice.
I am scared.
I ran, screamed, and cried for help.

I am Alice.
I have been to Wonderland and back many a time.
I have followed the white rabbit down the rabbit hole,
Gotten lost inside,
And crashed on my way out.
I have run to the Kind of all hearts,
In a secure kingdom.
