I Hope It's Poetic

You need to know
I'm letting go.
This is goodbye,
Tonight I die.

I've given up,
It's all too tough.
This is the end,
Of me, my friend.

I can't keep living like this,
I tasted lies on her lips.
My whole world was forged by lies,
It's come to this: Suicide.

This is the last song I'll write,
The end for me is tonight.
It's far too late to save me,
Now it's time for me to leave.

Although I'm taking the coward's way out,
I can't keep living in this cloud of doubt.
I'm sure you'll think this is all pathetic,
Meeting this end, for me is poetic.

"meeting this end, I hope it's poetic" was the original final line. That's where the title came from. Since someone would be reading this after the narrator's death, he hopes other people would find his "end" poetic, too.
