From Adam to Eve

Alone I first was made from mud and breath
I named the life on earth of my own choice
I was alone and unaware of death
Scared forever to only hear my voice

My maker sensed my loneliness within
And took the marrow from my side to give
Although you tempted me to man's first sin
He gave me you so we as one could live

Created from the bone nearest my heart
We together were first to roam God's earth
You were made for me to love from the start
Together we will start anew with birth

We discovered first these earthly evils
We must not slip with attempts so feeble
