Dreaming of you

What if my name were a rainbow, with all of the vowels and consonants in the wrong place?
Would you still utter it from you mouth like a love song?

What if my hands were electric and tingly, like when your foot falls asleep?
Would you be eager, anyway, to feel them upon you?

and What if I stretched my arms as high as I could in attempt to touch the stars, and I still fell short?
Would you put me on the pedestal of your shoulders and stretch your legs as long as they could get,
Just so I could get a glimpse of a heaven without you?

Now, you should know that my intentions are good but this is the worst idea I've ever had.
I'd do anything to chase it away, like you chase vodka with lemonade to get rid of the taste.

But, Darling, you best believe that if I knew the taste of you it'd be like a dream,
and I would never chase that away.
