A Million Eyes

For a fighter life squeezes tighter
To ease the pain, clean the stain, put cease to rain
You look for the light flash
Praying to be lifted, soul sore with gash
For the bystander holding out your hand
So hard it is to watch as the devil eradicates her mind
As the story was told, a noxious rasp fell over my heart
So tragic when an amazing soul is helplessly torn apart
But in the end all we can do is fend
Try and bend the way, widen the length of our stay
So hardy we fight, vibrating with all our might despite the reality and the profanity of the words the doctor lets off the leash
There're so many questions that we ponder
We wonder the parks, waiting for the uplifting spark
Is it truly time? Must we let the beats of a mother vanish to ease the vigorous pain?
That is for you to distinguish
For now I felt the need to let you know how
A million caring eyes stick by your side
And once the sky is clear and what's done by god is finished
We’ll all be here
