Silent Crush.

Silence was the game,
shy was his name.
Nervously tapping his pencil,
boy, was it a shame.

His smile could captivate you,
his eyes luring you in.
And rarely,
you saw his goofy grin.

He was perfect as can be,
even if he couldn’t tell.
His laugh was adorable,
and in that moment I fell.

He seamlessly took over my brain,
a fight I wasn’t going to win.
Even the slightest glance,
Made me nervous within.

Was it all in my head?
or did he look at me again.
my mind couldn’t help but wonder,
was I just being insane?

Three years later,
we sat silent in a room.
Glances now gone,
He forgot, I assume.

Innocence was all it was,
A crush that never went away.
Sometimes I just wonder,
would he meet me half way?
