Baltimore

Borders and timezones keeping them apart,
Airports and exits and his lonely heart.
Last goodbyes under the sheets,
The lights that guided him to the streets.
It was her voice that played in his head,
"My heart's in Baltimore," she said.
Orange skylines and the sweet kisses that they shared,
Rushing back and nothing compared.

Every street corner had signs that read, "You lost the game."
