Cracks

Slip through the cracks,
And tumble down,
Into the dark
Where red,
Monstrous eyes lurk.
Where the stuff of myths live,
You shall see creatures,
Horrendous
Drooling things,
That seek your blood.
Beware,
You are now in the land of the shadows,
The land through the cracks,
That society tries so desperately to cover up.
Only they can’t hide all of the cracks,
And that is the reason that you fell through.
Now you will face your worst nightmares,
And the moon will drip with blood,
A red so dark and ominous
That children and adults quake in its presence.
That is just the icing on the cake of the world through the cracks.
Nothing you know is true here,
And nothing you thought is real.
All you know is that you are ignorant,
Of the true nature of things
And the world through the cracks.
