Don't Give Up

Time, life, and memories all get lost,
You can't get them back, no matter the cost.
They are gone, forever dead, never to return,
Once they're all lost, you just crash and burn.
Once you die, the memories fade,
The life in you, has gone away.

So just pick up that knife,
Do it now, end your life.
'No one cares anyway', that's what you think,
Don't do it, put it down, let no blood run in the sink.
Put down the knife, give life another try,
Don't just sit back and let the world go by.

Put that rope around your neck,
Tighten it and hang from your deck.
'I won't be missed', you think to yourself,
These are the cards that you have been dealt.
You would be missed, now put that rope away,
Go on and live your life, you'll die another day.

Put that gun to your head, pull the trigger,
For in this life, there is nothing bigger.
"I'm not any good", you say aloud,
Just look at the sun, shining through the clouds.
Pick your head up, face your fears,
Wipe your face of all the tears.

Free yourself, go and live,
You have so much that you can give.
Lend a helping hand to a person in need,
You can be anything you want to be.
