Where are you?
Are you nothing but a wraith,
Eternally pursuing the darkness?

Where are you?
Are you in some other place,
An empire in the sun?

Where are you?
Are you beneath the waters,
Your body tossed about by the tide?

Where are you,
My lost love?
Are you fading away,
Dissipating into the recesses of my mind?

Are you trapped in my heart,
Waiting to be freed,
Until our moment of unification?

I have walked the Earth
For six long years.
Alone, my footsteps
Were washed away.

My mind would play tricks on me,
Conjuring images of you.
First you were an angel,
Now, your status is unknown.

The blood surrounding you;
The lifeless body.
The image burnt into my memory.

Your voice reverberates in my mind,
As I let it wash over me in waves.
One touch from you, my friend
And I've never been the same.
I steel feel the essence of you,
Running through my veins.

So now,
The yearning consumes me.
my heart beats like a metronome,
Ticking away the minutes that remain.

Now, I am being taken to another world,
A separate element of the universe.
As I begin to make my journey,
My thoughts are of you.

If you are a ghost,
Or some formless spirit
Consume me,
Envelop me.
