You're Around

I've been wondering where you go
Cause you say that you're around
So I look over my shoulder
When I'm walking around town

Today I find your face
Swimming in the crowd
My heart jumps to my throat
My head flies to the clouds

I quicken my pace
So my path crosses yours
Breathe in, steady myself
Passing through two glass doors

I should say hello
But my pride forbids me
I take to the stairs
Making sure that you'll see

Maybe you called my name
But that seems wishful thought
Missed, or saw-and-ignored, me
More likely than not

You seem not to recall
But it weighs on my mind
Guess I'll try to move on
Leave this morning behind
