Eyes

Film of lies–
Blinds these eyes;

Film of ice–
Stings them twice;

Film of air–
Gilds this stare;

Film of ashes–
Reason crashes;

Film of ire–
Stokes the fire;

But most reserved of all things thin,
Is film that comes from deep within.
