Tragedy.

His fore arms scarred by rain and shine,
He sails across the seas.

The fair maiden he left behind,
An aching heart to ease.

For months he ventures warily,
He only longs for sand.

Until he's on the desert shore,
and again he's sick of land.

The sweet young girl he used to know
has grown into a lady.

She waits for him through time and snow,
But passion soon is fading.

And as he searches for a cause,
The girl is swept away.

Into the vast and eager claws,
of some prince who saved the day.

When he returns unto his love,
He finds she is no more.

She keeps the beauty of a dove,
with her body on the floor.
