Anger within

The emptiness of the room enveloped her.
she felt lost and unsure of everything.
Thoughts raced in her head,
unaware of her reality.
She placed her hands on her stomach as tears kissed her cheeks.
She knew nothing was there,
her mind kept telling her different.
Making her feel distant and alone.
Messing with her head,
trying to fool her.
Deceive her they did,
a burning pain shot through her as she rubbed the flatness of her stomach.
Hate and anger radiated from every pore,
she wanted nothing more than to feel life inside.
To have that joy of knowing she had something worth living for.
Her hands fell to her sides as she stood.
The mirror mocked her,
tearing her apart and spitting in her face.
Telling her the truth she already knew.
Reality hit her hard,
and she knew she would never get that pleasure.
She was alone,
abandoned and in a place of deception and greed.
