Buried underneath all the lies
There is a truth untold
Submerged beneath the screams
Lies laughter never heard
Hidden away in the brutal dark
Lurks the joy no one sought
Abandoned in the sands of time
Creeps a memory no one new
Lost within a cold abyss
Spoken words that were never true
Forgotten in a deadly mist
Promises that were almost made
