The Intelligent

They say intelligence is a gift
But sometimes it's a curse
When it's hard not to fix what
Others say while you converse

When mathematics are simple
Like 3,003 * 3 is 9,009
When you want to punch someone
For saying "It ain't fine"

It is not easy to live in a world
Filled with the "intellectually defective"
Because when you try to use big words
It is not effective

When using words like antidisestablishmentarianism
Is frowned upon
And you get weird looks when
You win with just your king and a pawn

It's not easy to have an IQ higher than Einstein
When you cannot even brag about it
Because your peers won't understand
And "in" you just won't fit

It's not easy being a nerd
When no one understands what it means
And being a nerd
Is another one of their "scenes"

When "Live long and prosper"
Is not understood
You know the generations are falling
And that is not good

Or how you think it's fun to read
But with actual books
Then people see you with them
And give you weird looks

What about actual grammar
Like "May I use the restroom?"
Because "Can I...?" is not correct
And just fills me with gloom

Do not even get me started on science
Because carbon dioxide
Is not the same
As carbon monoxide

So do not discriminate the intelligent
We are still people too
Even though we are wiser
And smarter than you
