Winters Caress

The genteel embrace of a winters night,
The brittle caress of the chilling breeze,
As it glides across my skin,
Leaving in its wake a trail of goose bumps,
My body surrendering its self,
I find myself helplessly drawn into its hold,
Like the waiting arms of a long lost lover,
Never wanting me to leave again,
Forever to remain as a statue,
In remembrance to a love once lost.
