I See I Threw A "C" Through a Crack in the Sea.

If women are dames, then they are very nearly dimes,
Which makes less cents than men, who by all means, are quarters.
Which makes no sense at all, even with clever rhymes.
And while one cannot buy love, as I've been told by certain porters,
One can certainly pay heavily for it, regardless of their intention.
Though to learn this, one must, yet again, pay, attention.
And so the question remains, if we are to strive for that above,
What is the purpose, of our many forms of love?

I must say I had quite a bit of fun with the first few lines of this one. Feedback is appreciated!
