A Sea of Emotion Devoid of Devotion
I am the ocean whose surface eddies betray the currents running in its depths.
I wash over those who fare into my waters, never to be kept at bay.
I entice with my cunning simplicity,
and Betray with my hidden duplicity.
I am beauty and serenity, teeming with the essence of life,
Yet the rolling thunder is dwarfed by my rolling waves.
And Like the ocean, in all its depths,
I am forever alone, despite that inside of me.
