My Once Dear Friend

From time to time and day to day
my mind twists itself in disturbing ways
the thoughts of you that flood my conscious
drown the rest and fill me with sadness
how could you do those horrible things
those terrible to those who care
you act as if they were never there
how dare you take our kindness and toss it aside
and plug your ears to our painful cries
my once dear friend I must tell you
with all the things we've been through
I will not show you mercy
you will bury yourself with your hatred and lies
I will not lend a savior's hand
but I will not turn a blind eye
I will watch your demise with a smile on my face
something you will never again erase
don't call my name or beg forgiveness
it will fall on deaf ears for you don't deserve it
my once dear friend I wish you all the best
as you fall into darkness with the rest.
