White Lies Are Racist.

Brutal honesty, or benevolent manipulation.
Which of these is the better course?
To prevent any pretense of illusion and deceit?
Or preserve the delicate balance of peace
and protect others, if even from themselves?

Okay, I lied, It's not a poem. Though I will soon make it into one. I find myself undecided on this issue and thought I'd attempt to gather some additional thoughts on the matter. I practice both, as sometimes people need to be coaxed out of their own shells/justifications/lies/beliefs to see various things and in order to learn/grow. I'm not so arrogant to assume that It is my duty to determine this and remedy it, but if they are to hurt someone else, or themselves, as a result of this, then I shall take the course of action I deem necessary. It's difficult to convey all of this properly in words. Brutal honesty also has its purpose however, as it prevents misunderstandings for the most part, but sometimes causes friction and ill feelings that were otherwise avoidable. Simply put, It's the argument of the White lie. Are they okay? If so, where do you draw the line of where they are not? Is simple plain unfiltered honesty the best policy? Or some mixture of both? Comment with your thoughts on the manner if you care too.
