It echoes in my mind and makes me wonder
Would it be the same for me?
If I was not defined as gay, a homo, a FAG
But instead as straight, a hetero, a MAN
Would that change things?

The ones who cannot be granted that privilege
Are they not people, too?
Since when did it affect people of the heterosexual identification?
As to whether or not those of the homosexual identification
Could get married or not?
As if that would really make a difference; their joining in

Either way, they’ll still live in your neighborhood
Why are they not allowed to have the same rights as any other citizen?
Can they not have the right to take care of their beloved in the hospital?
Can they not file for adoption like any other couple that is unable to have kids?
Why are they not able to be themselves like the rest of us?
Who are the homosexuals in this country harming by being bound in
