All That Glitters
She was just ten years old
Passed around between person to person
Pushed around even though she did what she was told
But things would only worsen
Her mother dropped dead and she was gone
Leaving her daughter in a dangerous state of mind
She felt that she had no one to rely on
Maybe that was what had turned her unkind,
but if you saw her, you would think she was divine
If only you saw what went on behind
Such a dark and tortured soul
Turned cold by years of sorrow and blame
