I'll Stay, If You Will

He ran away
Into his forest
no one can catch him
no one will try
but a young baby fox
managed to catch his eye

She was resting,
catching her breath
her friends who she ran with,
had long since left
She was cold,
and growing colder
when she felt his hand
apon her shoulder

He stopped what he was doing
and dropped his prey
He gave her some,
and asked her to stay

he said "Whats wrong?"
and with a shiver she said "Im ok."

She thought about this gray old fox,
how sweet he seemed to be
but barren castles, broken lakes, and fals intentions
taught her how sweet all trickery can be

His eyes are brown
like the bark from her favorite trees
his words are stern,
hes stuck in his ways
but this she does not mind
shes come to love the way he thinks
and how he was designed

his fur,
kind of rough
holding in oh so much
his heart, oh so soft
behind all of these walls

"Hunt
hunt
hunt"

"hunt with me"

Yes, she agreed

Lets hunt,
hunt,
hunt,
all through the night

and eat
eat '
eat
our prey like a sacrifice
she called him her monster
and he called her a sight

She whispered:
Keep me warm
warm
warm
Im so tired of the cold
cold
cold
this land is often barren
i find myself lost

if you're sure of it
ill keep myself close

will you keep me warm
warm
warm
ill be your company in these woods
woods
woods
nightfall wont stop us
and daylight cant phase us
lets just run
run
run

run from the sun

This was a reply to my boyfriends poetic reply to Run (http://www.mibba.com/Poems/Read/303182/Run-young-innocent-run/) so it's changed a bit. I don't know how I feel about it. But enjoy.
