Gatsby

Deep colors float
until forgotten.
Lights lurch away swiftly
dissolving and forming
in the same breath.
Trembling opal dances
alone
hushed by rhythm.

This was an experiment with black-out poetry where you take a page from a book or magazine or article and pick out specific words and black out the rest with a marker, creating a poem. I used a page from The Great Gatsby.
