Fear of the Unknown

The future is a scary thing,
Fully of uncertainty.
You hear the school bell ring,
It brings you out if your reverie.

What will happen when you're done with school?
Out on your own in this dark world.
Big headed bosses using you as a tool.
Different challenges at you are hurled.

You feel desperate and lost
Thinking of your future life.
A good life comes at a great cost.
And the hard decision of finding a wife.

You're just starting to cry
As a teacher walks in.
He's a respectable guy,
He might as well be kin.

He lays an wrinkled hand on your shoulder
And looks deep into your eyes.
His countenance that of a boulder.
The both of you sit together and cry.

Some minutes pass and the crying ceases.
The old man smiles at you and whispers,
"Don't let the fear of the unknown leave your future with creases."
With this comment, hope inside you flutters.

Twenty years later you're sitting in your corporation.
Papers stacked high like the bills in your bank.
You glance at your family portrait with great affection.
You have millions and a high social rank.

You tell the young people not to fret,
Their future is not decided yet.
