The Accident
We never know what to expect
We're here one day and gone the next
Everything can change with just one choice
And when you're gone no one can hear your voice
You may not realize how many people you affect
But God has his reasons for the people he collects
I didn't even know her, yet im still depressed
They say the day she was born the world was blessed
I'm sorry I never met her, I wish I had the chance
I've only seen her once or twice, I've only had a glance
I never saw her smile, I never knew her name
But why does this hurt so bad, why do I feel pain?
What happened in that car that night I still dont understand
One guy remains in the hospital he may never walk again
Another is suffering the consequences and trying to make things right
But shes no longer with us, her loved ones have lost their light
Things like this always hit us hard
When it happens to love ones we are forever scarred
She was only fourteen and that is the worst part
But she will forever have a place in our hearts

I wrote this about something that recently happened to some people that go to my school. Even though I never met her I'm still upset. When something like this happens it shows you that you can die at any moment. Everytime we get in a car we have the risk of getting in an accident. Even sitting at home watching t.v you could have a heart attack and die. It's amazing how things like this affect people that don't even know you. Don't take life for granted, and don't think it can't happen to you.
