Beautifully Misunderstood

If the stars stopped shining tonight,
Oh how the pain would hurt.
Their would no longer be any light,
Bleeding in the dark.

No one could hear the screams of agony,
As you tear your heart out.
Tears streamed down your face in vain,
You were betrayed by your only friend.

Now hush,
No one is listening.
The stars were your only rush,
You're eyes are glistening.

Please, Please oh please!
You beg.
No one listens though,
They don't care.

We all have been pushed to our breaking point,
But none like you.
You keep reaching out to someone,
No one listens though.

Everyone is deaf to you,
Ignoring the distressful look you give.
No one knows how you feel,
Every ounce of hate goes to your voicebox.

Begging for a release,
But instantly hushed.
By the Shining stars coming from your window,
Oh how bright they shine.

The appealing stars shining oh so bright,
But how could someone ever ignore something so delicate.
Maybe they're afraid,
Afraid of being alone.

Alone is such a scary word,
All we ever want is beauty.
Beauty is all society wants,
Be who we are.
That's what the stars teach.

They all might look the same.
You have to look close enough to see each of the star's scars.
Tearing at each of their hearts.
Yearning for someone to notice.
